Installing a new Atlas Copco ring main and variable speed driven (VSD) compressor with ancillaries is calculated to result in an annual carbon reduction of approximately 48 tonnes of CO2 for award winning magazine printing company, Buxton Press Limited - along with close to £7,500 per annum savings in compressed air energy costs.

Water Purification with Severn Trent

Severn Trent Water has chosen to install reliable and energy efficient ZS oil-free rotary screw blowers from Atlas Copco at six of its water treatment plants in the UK. This forms part of a major infrastructure refurbishment programme, including upgrades to its Rapid Gravity Filters (RGF) processes installations that require low pressure air for sand de-scouring duties.

SMARTLINK: Supporting the Chemical Industry

Sika Limited has virtually halved its batch transfer time after installing a centralised and remotely monitored compressed air and nitrogen system from Atlas Copco. The system, which was installed, and is being serviced, by Atlas Copco subsidiary Compressor Engineering, is proving essential in the safe and efficient production procedures at the company’s manufacturing facility in Preston, UK. Furthermore, it has allowed full centralisation between adjacent plant installations and provided capacity for expansion.

The company’s Denton plant, near Manchester, is one of 14 Wienerberger production sites in the UK providing wall, roof and landscaping innovations. It's a Winner!

2017 ended on a high note with Adrian winning the EEF Manufacturing Photography Competition. This winning photograph features an Intermac stone cutting machine using diamond tools and a continuous flow of water to both cool the process and to flush the stone chips away. Adrian is pictured receiving his award, accompanied by an Atlas Copco representative at The House of Commons.
